Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Inspire pupils to explore language and literature while developing confidence in reading, writing, and communication.

GSL Education are delighted to recruit a passionate English Teacher for schools across the S5 and S9 areas of Sheffield.

As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and a love of language in every pupil.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver English lessons aligned with the curriculum.
  • Promote literacy, analytical skills, and discussion in the classroom.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support school literacy initiatives and extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as an English Teacher in a school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
