Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day supply
Can you confidently manage a classroom and support pupils’ learning when the regular teacher is absent?
GSL Education are inviting reliable Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Barnsley, particularly within the S70 and S71 communities, ensuring lessons run smoothly and pupils stay engaged with their learning.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will oversee pre-set lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise lessons and maintain order.
- Ensure pupils complete the work set by the class teacher.
- Manage behaviour and encourage positive engagement.
- Work collaboratively with school staff as a Cover Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A confident and adaptable approach.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
