Job Title: Behaviour Support/Mentor
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time 

Support pupils in developing positive behaviour, confidence, and the skills they need to succeed in school life.

GSL Education are looking to appoint a Behaviour Support / Mentor to work with a school in the Dinnington (S25) area, providing consistent guidance to pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support.

In this role, the Behaviour Support / Mentor will work closely with pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis, encouraging positive conduct, emotional regulation, and engagement with learning.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist pupils in managing behaviour and developing constructive coping strategies.
  • Encourage participation in lessons and school activities.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships and act as a positive role model.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams to implement support plans.
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for pupils.

Requirements of Behaviour Support / Mentor:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs.
  • Strong communication, patience, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • A calm, consistent, and empathetic approach.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
