Autism Support Teaching Assistant
Location: Malton
Pay Rate: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: February 2026 or sooner
GSL Education are recruiting an Autism Support Teaching Assistant to work in a secondary SEMH setting in the Malton area, supporting pupils with autism and associated emotional needs.

The setting supports pupils through structured routines, personalised learning plans and sensory-aware strategies. Staff work collaboratively to promote stability and engagement.
Autism Support TA Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 autism support

Support sensory and emotional regulation

Implement personalised strategies

Encourage communication and independence

Work closely with SEN and teaching teams
Requirements

Experience supporting pupils with autism

Understanding of SEMH and sensory needs

Calm and consistent approach

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
