SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Malton area
Pay Rate: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: February 2026 or sooner

GSL Education are recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant with an SEMH focus to support secondary pupils in the Malton area.

About the School

The setting supports pupils with additional needs through tailored learning approaches, strong pastoral care and consistent routines. Staff work closely to ensure pupils feel supported and able to access education.

SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

  • Provide SEN and SEMH support

  • Support pupils with EHCP targets

  • Assist with emotional and behavioural needs

  • Support learning and engagement in lessons

  • Work collaboratively with SEN and teaching staff

Requirements

  • Experience supporting SEN or SEMH pupils

  • Understanding of EHCPs and SEN strategies

  • Patient and supportive approach

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
