Salary: £120 – £250 per day (Depending on experience)

Contract Type: Part-Time (16 lessons per week) with additional general cover

Key Responsibilities of the Drama Teacher

  • Teach 16 Drama lessons per week, delivered on alternating schedules (3 days one week, 4 the next).
  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Drama lessons that inspire creativity, confidence, and collaboration.
  • Complete all planning, marking, and Parent Evening commitments.
  • Contribute to the wider school community by providing general cover when not teaching Drama.
  • Foster an inclusive learning environment where students feel supported to express themselves.
  • Use diverse teaching strategies to engage learners of all abilities.

Requirements for the Role

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Drama within a school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for the performing arts.
  • Excellent organisational and classroom management skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection requirements.
