Salary: £88.94 – £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Monday 9th February
Contract Type: Full‑time, long‑term (Rolling week‑to‑week)

Role Overview

The position involves working 1:1 with a young male student who has recently moved to the area and requires high-level personalised support. Due to specific safeguarding considerations, there is a genuine occupational requirement for a male Teaching Assistant (TA) for this role.

You will:

  • Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
  • Build a positive, trusting relationship to support emotional and academic development
  • Assist with managing behaviour and maintaining engagement
  • Adapt learning activities to meet the student’s individual needs
  • Work closely with class teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams

Requirements for 1:1 Teaching Assistant

  • Previous 1:1 experience is essential
  • Available 5 days a week (start Monday 9th February)
  • Fully compliant with all safer‑recruitment checks
  • Strong communication and behaviour‑support skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
