Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Tonbridge
Salary: £88.94 – £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Monday 9th February
Contract Type: Full‑time, long‑term (Rolling week‑to‑week)

This is a well‑established secondary school and sixth form set within a spacious, modern campus in Tonbridge. Role Overview
The position involves working 1:1 with a young male student who has recently moved to the area and requires high-level personalised support. Due to specific safeguarding considerations, there is a genuine occupational requirement for a male Teaching Assistant (TA) for this role.
You will:
- Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
- Build a positive, trusting relationship to support emotional and academic development
- Assist with managing behaviour and maintaining engagement
- Adapt learning activities to meet the student’s individual needs
- Work closely with class teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams
Requirements for 1:1 Teaching Assistant
- Previous 1:1 experience is essential
- Available 5 days a week (start Monday 9th February)
- Fully compliant with all safer‑recruitment checks
- Strong communication and behaviour‑support skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
