German Teacher

Location: Dartford, Kent

Salary: £120 - £250 per day (dependent on experience)

Start Date: After February Half-Term

Contract: Full-time, Long-term supply (until the end of the academic year)

If so, GSL Education Kent would be delighted to hear from you. We have an excellent opportunity for a committed German Teacher to join a forward-thinking school in Dartford. This full-time role commences after the February half-term and continues until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality German lessons, including full planning and marking duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality German lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Encourage a passion for languages and European culture within the classroom.

  • Undertake full planning, marking, and assessment responsibilities.

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement.

  • Comply with school policies relating to safeguarding, assessment, and curriculum delivery.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience teaching German within the UK.

  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach German up to Key Stage 4.

  • Be available to work five days per week for the remainder of the academic year.

  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.

  • Meet GSL’s safer recruitment standards and be fully compliant for long-term supply.

  • Hold a Child Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
