Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are pleased to recruit a Science Teacher to work with schools in the Sheffield (S2, S3) area, delivering stimulating lessons that encourage enquiry, investigation, and critical thinking.

In this role, the Science Teacher will plan and deliver well-structured lessons that support pupils in developing scientific knowledge and practical skills within a positive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons in line with the science curriculum.
  • Encourage practical investigation and analytical thinking.
  • Maintain positive behaviour and an effective learning atmosphere.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school objectives.

Requirement of Science Teacher:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching science in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners of all abilities.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
