Job Title: Behaviour Support/Mentor
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: 460 - 600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Help pupils develop positive behaviours, confidence, and the skills they need to succeed in school life.

GSL Education are seeking a Behaviour Support / Mentor to work with schools in the Sheffield (S2, S3) area, providing consistent guidance to pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support.

In this role, the Behaviour Support / Mentor will work closely with pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis, promoting positive conduct, emotional regulation, and engagement with learning.

Key Duties:

  • Support pupils in managing behaviour and developing positive coping strategies.
  • Encourage engagement with lessons and participation in school activities as Behaviour Support / Mentor.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships and act as a positive role model.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams to implement support plans.
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for pupils.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs.
  • Strong communication, patience, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • A calm, consistent, and empathetic approach.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
