About the Role:
As a Geography Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons, develop students’ knowledge and practical skills, and encourage curiosity and exploration. You will support students’ progress, manage classroom behaviour, and contribute to a positive and structured learning environment.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Geography lessons for a range of abilities.
• Develop students’ knowledge, analytical skills, and practical understanding.
• Use varied teaching strategies to engage and motivate students.
• Monitor, assess, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Manage classroom behaviour to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, strategies, and best practice.
• Maintain accurate records of lessons, attainment, and student outcomes.
Qualifications:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
• Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3/4 is preferred.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to differentiate lessons to meet individual student needs.
• Enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to student engagement and development.
