About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain engaged and focused. You will manage behaviour, implement lesson plans, and support the smooth running of the school day.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes effectively in the absence of the class teacher.
- Ensure students remain on task and engaged with lesson content.
- Implement lesson plans provided by teaching staff, maintaining continuity.
- Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
- Support students’ academic progress and behaviour where required.
- Report any incidents, achievements, or concerns to the relevant staff.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support teaching staff.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a school environment or as a Cover Supervisor is desirable.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to different classes, subjects, and student needs.
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to supporting students’ learning.
