About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to assist pupils in the classroom and during activities. You will help create a positive learning environment, provide tailored support to individuals and small groups, and contribute to students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
Responsibilities:
• Support students in the classroom, working one-to-one or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Support students with additional learning or behavioural needs where required.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and confidence among pupils.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is desirable.
• A patient, supportive, and proactive approach to learning support.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt to the needs of different learners and classroom settings.
• A genuine passion for supporting students’ development and well-being.
