Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5)
Salary: Up to £220 per day
Contract Type: Full time, Feb – Easter
Start Date: Immediately

An exciting opportunity has arisen at a secondary school in Sheffield (S5) for a dedicated English Teacher to deliver engaging lessons and support students in developing strong literacy, communication, and analytical skills.

About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons across relevant key stages, supporting students’ progress, and maintaining a positive and engaging classroom environment. You will play a key role in developing students’ reading, writing, and communication skills while promoting a passion for English literature and language.

Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning.
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum planning and student outcomes.

Qualifications:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English at secondary level is desirable.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for English language and literature.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate, engage, and inspire students.
