Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain engaged and on task. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain classroom experience while supporting the smooth running of the school day.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans and supervise students across a range of subjects,
    ensuring continuity of learning and classroom order.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies,
    maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Support students with their work,
    answering questions and encouraging participation where appropriate.
  • Liaise with teaching and pastoral staff,
    providing feedback on student behaviour and lesson outcomes.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times,
    prioritising student safety and well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Confidence leading a classroom and engaging students effectively.
  • A flexible, reliable, and professional approach to work.
  • An interest in education or a pathway into teaching is advantageous.
