Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored assistance to pupils with additional needs. You will help deliver engaging learning activities, encourage positive behaviour, and support students both inside and outside the classroom.
Responsibilities:
• Support students with SEN on a one-to-one and small group basis to enhance learning and engagement.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering structured and inclusive lessons.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation using appropriate strategies.
• Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
• Support students with personal care needs where required, ensuring dignity and respect.
• Monitor and record student progress in line with individual support plans.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to support student development.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role is desirable.
• Understanding of a range of special educational needs and support strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting learners.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a school setting.
