Behaviour Mentor

Location: Selby
Pay Rate: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: February 2026 or sooner

GSL Education are looking for a Behaviour Mentor to support secondary pupils in an SEMH-focused setting in the Selby area.

The school prioritises emotional wellbeing and relationship building, offering pupils consistent adult support to help them re-engage with education.

Behaviour Mentor Responsibilities

  • Provide pastoral and emotional support

  • Mentor pupils with behavioural needs

  • Support attendance and engagement

  • Work closely with pastoral and safeguarding teams

  • Encourage positive choices and resilience

Requirements

  • Experience in mentoring or pastoral roles

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Understanding of SEMH needs

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
