Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs through structured and compassionate teaching.
GSL Education are delighted to recruit a resilient SEMH Teacher for schools across the S2 and S3 areas of Sheffield.
As a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Teacher, you will deliver tailored lessons, manage behaviour positively, and create a safe learning space where pupils feel understood and supported.
Prime Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver lessons suited to pupils with SEMH needs.
- Implement behaviour strategies and emotional support techniques.
- Maintain a calm, inclusive, and well-managed classroom.
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Work closely with pastoral teams, staff, and external agencies.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working as a SEMH Teacher in a specialist or mainstream setting.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
