Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: £460 -£650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Step into the classroom with confidence and ensure pupils remain focused and engaged throughout the school day.
GSL Education are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to support schools in the Sheffield (S2, S3) area, providing reliable classroom supervision when teachers are absent.
In this role, the Cover Supervisor (CS) will oversee pre-set lessons, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and help pupils stay on task in a calm and structured environment.
Core Role Expectations of Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise lessons using the work provided by teaching staff.
- Maintain a positive and orderly classroom atmosphere.
- Encourage pupils to remain engaged with their learning tasks.
- Report back to staff on lesson progress and any concerns.
- Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- A confident, reliable, and adaptable approach.
- Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
