SEN Teaching Assistant – SEND School
Location: Tower Hamlets (Mile End)
Pay: £100–£110 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time (Monday–Friday)
About the Role
We are working with a well-resourced SEND school in Mile End, Tower Hamlets, who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with PMLD, SLD and Autism.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with complex needs and making a real difference in their daily learning and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Autism
- Providing 1:1 and small group support in the classroom
- Assisting with personal care, sensory activities and mobility support where required
- Supporting pupils with communication needs, emotional regulation and behaviour
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and support staff to implement EHCP targets
- Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with SEND, particularly PMLD, SLD or Autism (school, care, or support setting)
- A patient, caring and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to support with personal care
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
