About the Role:
As a SEMH Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons, implement personalised strategies, and provide consistent support to students with SEMH requirements. You will foster a positive and structured classroom environment while monitoring progress and promoting independence.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH.
- Support students’ emotional, social, and academic development through targeted strategies.
- Create a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour.
- Monitor, assess, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviour, and interventions.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and resilience in all learners.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
- Experience supporting students with SEMH or related needs is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to student well-being and development.
