Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day

A Sheffield-based school is seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to manage classes, implement lesson plans, and provide a positive learning environment for students of varying ages and abilities.

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will ensure that lessons run smoothly in the absence of the class teacher. You will maintain a positive learning environment, manage student behaviour, and support pupils in achieving their potential while following lesson plans and school procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes and maintain a safe, disciplined, and productive learning environment.
- Deliver lesson plans provided by teachers and adapt where necessary to meet students’ needs.
- Monitor student engagement, behaviour, and progress during lessons.
- Report feedback on lesson delivery, student behaviour, and attainment to teaching staff.
- Support students with additional needs as required, including SEN and SEMH strategies.
- Assist with the preparation and organisation of learning materials and resources.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure continuity of learning and consistent standards across lessons.

Qualifications:
- Experience working in a school environment, preferably in teaching or supervisory roles.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to engage students across a range of ages and abilities.
- Organised, proactive, and flexible in adapting to different classes and situations.
- A professional and approachable manner with students, staff, and parents.
