Salary: £460 – £600 per week

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support students with special educational needs, providing one-to-one and small group assistance. You will help deliver personalised learning plans and create a safe, encouraging, and structured environment for all learners.
Responsibilities:
- Implement personalised learning and care plans tailored to the needs of each student, fostering independence and growth.
- Support classroom learning and assist teachers with lesson delivery.
- Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages trust and engagement.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and other professionals to provide holistic support.
- Monitor and maintain records of student progress and activities.
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, and eating where required, ensuring dignity and respect.
- Encourage students to participate in activities to the fullest potential using effective communication strategies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience supporting students with SEN in a school or similar setting is preferred.
- Understanding of SEN conditions and evidence-based support strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to individual student needs and dynamic classroom environments.
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students.
