About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes, delivering pre-prepared lessons, and maintaining classroom standards. This role ensures learning continues smoothly during teacher absences, providing vital support to both students and teaching staff.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise whole classes during the absence of the regular teacher, maintaining a safe and productive learning environment.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and activities to ensure continuity of learning.
- Manage classroom behaviour, following school policies and procedures.
- Support students’ engagement, participation, and learning outcomes.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student behaviour, work completed, and lesson progress.
- Ensure classrooms are organised and resources are used effectively.
- Collaborate with staff to understand class requirements and support school routines.
Qualifications:
- Experience in classroom supervision or teaching support is desirable.
- Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying ages and abilities.
- Reliable, adaptable, and confident in following school policies and procedures.
