About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils both in and out of the classroom. You will help deliver engaging learning activities, provide one-to-one or small-group support, and contribute to creating a calm and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
• Support teachers in delivering lessons and learning activities across the curriculum.
Assist pupils with their academic work, ensuring they remain engaged and focused.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with varying learning needs.
Help adapt learning materials to suit individual abilities.
• Promote positive behaviour and support emotional and social development.
Encourage confidence, independence, and positive interactions.
• Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources.
Maintain a safe, tidy, and supportive learning environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Support the implementation of individual learning or support plans where required.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people in education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
• A patient, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
