About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum, supporting students’ progress in reading, writing, and communication. You will contribute to creating a stimulating classroom environment that encourages engagement, creativity, and critical thinking.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to students’ abilities and learning needs.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and student outcomes.
• Contribute to the wider school community when required.
Qualifications:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English at secondary level is desirable.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English education.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities.
