Job Title: Learning Support Assistant – Secondary Focus

Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to assist students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will provide targeted support in and out of the classroom, helping students to engage with learning, manage behaviour positively, and achieve their individual goals.
Responsibilities:
• Support students in lessons, delivering targeted interventions to promote engagement and progress.
• Work one-to-one or with small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence.
• Assist teachers with classroom management and lesson delivery.
• Support students with additional needs, including SEN, SEMH, and behavioural challenges.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and emotional regulation.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable.
• Experience supporting learners with SEN or additional needs is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and proactive in a classroom setting.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people’s development and learning.
