About the Role
GSL Education are seeking a committed and adaptable SEN Teacher to support pupils with diverse learning needs, including Autism, ADHD, and moderate to complex learning difficulties. You will be responsible for planning and delivering differentiated lessons, supporting pupils’ academic progress, and promoting social and emotional development. This role offers flexibility across day-to-day and long-term placements, with part-time and full-time opportunities available.
Responsibilities

Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet individual SEN needs

Differentiate learning materials and teaching strategies

Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

Work closely with Teaching Assistants and the SEN team

Implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans

Monitor progress and adapt teaching approaches accordingly

Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals
Qualifications
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Experience teaching pupils with SEN

Strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, and additional learning needs

Ability to differentiate effectively

Positive behaviour management skills

Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
