Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Boroughbridge
Pay Rate: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full-Time / Long-Term
Start Date: February 2026
GSL Education are recruiting a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support learning across a secondary school in the Boroughbridge area. This role is ideal for graduates considering a future career in teaching or education.

The school is a well-structured secondary setting with clear routines and a strong focus on academic progress and personal development. Staff work collaboratively to support pupils academically and pastorally across KS3 and KS4.
Graduate Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

Support pupils in lessons across a range of subjects

Provide small group and 1:1 academic intervention

Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom organisation

Encourage engagement and positive learning behaviours

Support pupils with varying learning needs
Requirements

Degree-level qualification

Experience working with young people is desirable

Strong communication and organisational skills

Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
