A welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Harlow is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team. About the Role

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a KS1 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons that support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development. You will be part of a friendly and collaborative staff team, with strong leadership support and well-established classroom routines.

This role would suit both experienced teachers and ECTs who are passionate about early education and keen to make a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum

  • Creating a stimulating, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment

  • Monitoring progress and adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners

  • Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement

  • Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff

  • Contributing to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (including placements)

  • A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning

  • Strong classroom management and organisation skills

  • A caring, patient, and positive attitude

  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
