A welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Harlow is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team. About the Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a KS1 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons that support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development. You will be part of a friendly and collaborative staff team, with strong leadership support and well-established classroom routines.
This role would suit both experienced teachers and ECTs who are passionate about early education and keen to make a positive impact.
Key Responsibilities

Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum

Creating a stimulating, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment

Monitoring progress and adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners

Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement

Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff

Contributing to the wider life of the school
The Ideal Candidate
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (including placements)

A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning

Strong classroom management and organisation skills

A caring, patient, and positive attitude

Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
