About the Role
GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Sports Coach to support pupils across a range of physical education and enrichment activities. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sport and youth development, looking to make a meaningful impact on pupils’ physical health, teamwork skills, and overall engagement in school. Opportunities are available on both short-term and long-term bases, with flexible part-time and full-time options.
Responsibilities

Deliver engaging sports and physical activity sessions across different age groups

Support PE lessons alongside teaching staff

Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and active participation

Adapt activities to meet the needs of pupils, including those with SEN

Assist with lunchtime and after-school clubs where required

Encourage positive behaviour and inclusion through sport

Support pupils’ well-being and confidence-building

Provide personal care support where required, in line with school policies
Qualifications
-
Experience coaching or supporting sports activities with children or young people
-
Knowledge of a range of sports and physical activities
-
Ability to engage and motivate pupils of varying abilities

Understanding of SEN needs is advantageous

Strong behaviour management skills

Relevant coaching or sports qualifications (desirable but not essential)

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
