Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are pleased to appoint a History Teacher to work with schools in the Sheffield (S11) area, delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking about historical events.
In this role, the History Teacher will plan and deliver lessons that develop pupils’ analytical skills, historical knowledge, and ability to evaluate sources, while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Role Expectations:
- Plan and deliver structured history lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Encourage pupils to think critically about historical events and perspectives.
- Maintain positive behaviour and a focused learning atmosphere.
- Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback as History Teacher.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school objectives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching history in a secondary school setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners of all abilities.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
