Job Title: Cover supervisor - Maths
Location: Sheffield
Payrate: £95-£120 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time
Keep learning on track and support pupils’ progress in mathematics with confidence and clarity.
GSL Education are excited to appoint a Cover Supervisor – Maths to work with schools across the Sheffield area, ensuring continuity of learning when teaching staff are unavailable.
In this role, the Cover Supervisor (CS) – Mathematics will supervise pre-planned maths lessons, maintain a focused classroom environment, and support pupils in completing their work effectively.
Core Role Expectations:
- Supervise mathematics lessons using the work set by the class teacher.
- Maintain positive behaviour and a structured learning atmosphere.
- Support pupils with their tasks and encourage engagement with learning.
- Communicate effectively with teaching staff regarding lesson outcomes.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils at all times.
Requirement of Cover Supervisor – Maths:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Confidence supporting pupils with mathematics-related tasks.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
