Payrate: £95-£115 per day (Depending on experience)

Support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs to thrive in a structured learning environment.
GSL Education are pleased to recruit a compassionate SEMH TA for a school situated in the WF4 area of Wakefield.
As a Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA), you will work closely with pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support, helping them remain engaged and confident in their learning.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
- Assist the class teacher in maintaining a calm learning environment.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils.
- Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an SEMH TA or in a similar support role.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
- Understanding of safeguarding and school procedures.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
