Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Worksop (S81)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type - Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Help pupils grow in confidence, stay engaged in learning, and feel supported every day in the classroom.
GSL Education are delighted to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work with welcoming schools in the Worksop (S81) area, providing valuable classroom support and helping pupils reach their potential.
In this role, the Teaching Assistant (TA) will work closely with teachers and pupils, supporting learning activities, encouraging participation, and contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Core Role Expectations:
- Support the delivery of lessons and assist pupils with their learning tasks.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support where required.
- Help maintain a calm, focused, and supportive learning environment.
- Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and engagement in lessons.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support classroom objectives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people in a school setting.
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and supportive approach to classroom assistance.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
