Job Title: Geography Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are currently hiring a dedicated Geography Teacher to work in schools across Barnsley (S70, S71), delivering engaging lessons that explore physical and human geography while encouraging curiosity about global issues.

As a Geography Teacher, you will plan and deliver lessons that develop pupils’ map-reading, research, and analytical skills, while fostering a sense of environmental awareness and responsibility.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging geography lessons across the curriculum.
  • Support pupils in developing critical thinking and geographical skills.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to teach confidently as a Geography Teacher.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
