Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Bring the past to life and help pupils understand how history shapes the world around them.
GSL Education are delighted to recruit an enthusiastic History Teacher to join schools in the S70 and S71 areas of Barnsley.
As a History Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that develop critical thinking, discussion, and a deeper understanding of historical events and cultures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver structured history lessons aligned with the curriculum.
- Encourage analytical thinking and class discussion.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom.
- Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to wider school initiatives and learning activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working as a History Teacher in a school setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
