Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a passionate PE Teacher to join schools in the S70 and S71 areas of Barnsley.

As a Physical Education (PE) Teacher, you will deliver engaging practical lessons that develop fitness, sporting skills, and resilience, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all pupils.

Prime Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver PE lessons aligned with the curriculum.
  • Encourage teamwork, discipline, and participation in physical activities.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed sporting environment.
  • Support extracurricular sports and school events.
  • Monitor pupil progress and promote healthy lifestyles.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as a PE Teacher in a school setting.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
