Job Title: Computer Science Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are excited to recruit a skilled Computer Science Teacher to join schools in the S70 and S71 areas of Barnsley.

As a Computer Science (CS) Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that develop computational thinking, programming skills, and digital literacy in a structured and supportive classroom.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver computer science lessons aligned with the curriculum.
  • Encourage pupils to develop coding, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support wider school initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as a Computer Science Teacher in a school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners of all abilities.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
