Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of teaching staff, maintain discipline, and ensure that lesson objectives are achieved. This role allows you to contribute to students’ learning while maintaining a safe and positive classroom environment.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes and ensure students remain on task during teacher absence.
- Follow lesson plans provided by teaching staff and deliver instructions as required.
- Maintain a positive and structured learning environment.
- Support students’ engagement and participation in classroom activities.
- Monitor behaviour and implement school policies to maintain discipline.
- Record attendance, student behaviour, and any relevant observations.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to provide feedback on lessons and student performance.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a school environment or working with children is desirable.
- Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage behaviour effectively and maintain classroom discipline.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to respond to different classroom situations.
- Professional, reliable, and committed to supporting student learning.
