Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver personalised learning, assist with classroom management, and provide one-to-one or small group support. You will help create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment that allows every student to succeed.

Responsibilities:
- Implement personalised learning and care plans tailored to the needs of each student, promoting independence and personal growth.
- Support classroom teaching and assist with lesson delivery.
- Work one-to-one or with small groups to help students achieve learning objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviour, and activities.
- Assist with personal care and hygiene when required, ensuring dignity and respect.
- Support students’ engagement with learning using effective communication and behavioural strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to provide comprehensive support.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or SEN Support Worker in a school environment is preferred.
- Understanding of SEN conditions and evidence-based support strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to adapt to the diverse and dynamic needs of students.
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learners.
