Job Title: Learning Support Assistant – Secondary Focus
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and supportive Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Sheffield, working closely with students to help them engage with learning and reach their full potential.

About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide targeted support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will work alongside teachers and support staff to help students access the curriculum, manage behaviour, and develop confidence within the classroom.

Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students across secondary year groups.
• Support students with additional learning needs to access lessons and activities.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and structured lessons.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage student engagement.
• Support students’ academic progress, social development, and emotional well-being.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff where appropriate.

Qualifications:
• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable.
• Understanding of additional learning needs and classroom support strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• A patient, reliable, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
