Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Spark curiosity about the past and help pupils understand how history shapes the present.

GSL Education are excited to appoint a knowledgeable History Teacher to support schools across the S5 and S9 areas of Sheffield.

As a History Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that encourage discussion, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of historical events and cultures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver structured history lessons aligned with the curriculum.
  • Encourage analytical thinking and class discussion.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to wider school learning initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as a History Teacher in a school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
