Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Tower Hamlets
Pay Rate: £90–£105 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Long-term, Full-time
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

GSL Education are pleased to offer a fantastic opportunity for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a modern, supportive primary school in Tower Hamlets. This long‑term, full‑time position is perfect for someone with strong SEN experience who is confident providing 1:1 support and passionate about helping pupils with complex needs thrive.

Key Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

  • Provide effective 1:1 SEN support tailored to pupils with high and complex needs.
  • Support children’s academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Assist with personal care, including nappy changing, where required.
  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and wider staff to follow support plans.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for all pupils.
  • Follow school policies and contribute positively to the school community.

Requirements for SEN TA:

  • Strong SEN experience and good understanding of additional needs.
  • Recent experience within a primary school setting is essential.
  • Confident delivering 1:1 support for children with high SEN needs.
  • Comfortable supporting with nappy‑changing and personal care tasks.
  • Good level of spoken and written English.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
