Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Newham
Pay Rate: £90 – £105 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract: Long-term, Full-time
Working Hours: 8.30 AM-4:15 PM

GSL Education are hiring a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA) to join an amazing primary school in Newham.
As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will support students across KS2, provide focused 1:1 SEN support, and work closely with teaching staff to maintain a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment.
Key Duties:
- Provide 1:1 SEN Support to students who require additional assistance with their learning.
- Support KS2 Learning by assisting with classroom tasks and helping students stay focused and engaged.
- Work Closely with Staff to ensure learning objectives are met and students receive consistent support.
- Follow School Policies and Procedures to maintain a safe and organised classroom environment.
- Promote Positive Behaviour and encourage confidence and independence among students.
- Assist with Classroom Preparation and organisation of learning materials.
Requirements of the Teaching Assistant:
- Strong knowledge and experience of working within KS2.
- Recent, relevant experience in a primary school setting.
- Ability to confidently deliver 1:1 SEN support tailored to individual pupil needs.
- Good understanding of school policies and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A high standard of spoken and written English to support clear communication and learning.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- An updated CV covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps.
