Pay Rate: £90 – £105 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term, Full-time
Working Hours: 8.30 AM-3.30 PM

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Newham.
As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a key role in supporting students, providing tailored 1:1 SEN support, and working closely with class teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:
- Work closely with students who require additional learning and behavioural support.
- Assist with classroom activities, helping students to understand lessons and stay engaged.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism while adhering to school procedures and safeguarding policies.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff to ensure students receive the best possible support.
- Encourage confidence, independence, and respectful conduct within the classroom.
- Support teachers with learning materials and classroom organisation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience and a good understanding of Year 5 curriculum and classroom practice.
- Recent, relevant experience working within a primary school setting.
- Confidence in providing 1:1 SEN support to meet individual learning needs.
- Ability to follow school policies and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A strong standard of spoken and written English.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
- Updated CV covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps.
