Job Title: Design Technology Teacher
Location: Barnsley – S70, S71
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time/Part-Time, Long Term/Day-to-Day

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys developing practical skills, encouraging creative thinking, and helping students design, make, and evaluate with confidence.
Key Responsibilities of Design Technology Teacher:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Design Technology lessons across Key Stages.
- Teach across one or more DT specialisms (e.g., Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Engineering, Textiles, Food Technology).
- Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and independent learning through practical and theory-based tasks.
- Maintain a safe and organised workshop/classroom environment, ensuring all equipment is used appropriately.
- Contribute to curriculum development, project-based learning, and extra‑curricular enrichment opportunities.
Requirements for Design Technology Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and confidence in delivering practical lessons safely.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
