Job Title: Maths Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are welcoming applications for a proficient Maths Teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that build confidence and deepen understanding in numeracy, supporting pupils across schools in Barnsley and within the broader S70–S71 area.

In this role, the Mathematics Teacher will plan and teach lessons covering key mathematical concepts, support pupils in developing logical thinking, and create a positive and structured learning environment.

Key Duties:

  • Deliver well-prepared maths lessons aligned with the curriculum.
  • Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support wider school initiatives.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as a Maths Teacher in a school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners of all abilities.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
