Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are appointing a passionate Teaching Assistant to provide consistent classroom support, welcoming applications from candidates ready to make a positive impact across schools in Barnsley and within the wider S70–S71 postcode areas.
In this role, the Teaching Assistant (TA) will work closely with pupils to support learning, engagement, and positive behaviour, helping to create a safe and encouraging environment.
Key Duties:
- Support pupils during lessons and classroom activities.
- Assist with preparing and adapting learning resources.
- Encourage participation, engagement, and positive behaviour.
- Work one-to-one or in small groups to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to support pupil progress.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role.
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
